Colorado High School Football Championships

It will be the new versus the old when Douglas County (11-2) plays Grandview (11-2) for the Colorado 5A high school football championship Saturday at Invesco Field.

Douglas County opened its doors in 1897, while Grandview began playing football in 1998. Douglas County finally won it all in 2005, while Grandview will be playing in its first ever state championship game.

In Class 4A at Invesco Monarch (12-1) will play Pueblo West (11-2). After a 1-1 start, Monarch has won 11 straight...seven by shutout.

The 3A title tilt Berthoud (11-2) plays Falcon (13-0)...who by the way is known as the Falcon Falcons!
